Goldcorp Research and Innovation Chair in Natural Resources and Energy Law -

The Faculty of Law at Université Laval has opened a position as a regular professor of natural resources and energy law.
 
The person hired will become the holder of the new Goldcorp Research and Innovation Chair in Natural Resources and Energy Law.
 
DUTIES:
- manage the activities of the Goldcorp Research and Innovation Chair in Natural Resources and Energy Law;
- teach and supervise students at the Bachelor’s, Master’s and doctoral levels in programs offered by the faculty or with which the faculty is associated;
- teach in the field of specialization and possibly in other fields;
- draw up a research program in the field of specialization;
- publish in the field of specialization and possibly in other fields;
- participate in the faculty’s university-related and administrative activities.
 
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Applicants must have a doctorate in law or another relevant field, or the equivalent of a doctorate in law*. Applications from current doctoral candidates will also be considered. Besides peer-reviewed publications, the following will be taken into account:
- teaching experience;
- research project quality;
- the ability to consider the teaching and study of law from a range of viewpoints;
- versatility.

All applications must include:
- the applicant’s detailed curriculum vitæ;
- a ten-page presentation of the scientific activities that the applicant plans to undertake during the first five-year period as Professor at the Faculty and holder of the Research Chair;
- where applicable, a copy of the applicant’s thesis or the chapters currently completed;
- a copy of the applicant’s most significant publications, in digital format if possible;
- two letters of recommendation sent directly to the Dean’s office.
